Annapolis, Md. – The George Mason men's golf team closed the
Navy The Goat Invitational on a high note, carding its best team round of the week with an even-par 284 on Sunday at the Naval Academy Golf Course. The strong finish propelled the Patriots into a tie for seventh place at 880 (+28), alongside Georgetown and just two shots behind George Washington.

Sophmore
Vaughn McMeans led the Patriots with a 1-under 70, highlighted by three back-nine birdies to earn a tie for fourth place individually at 214 (+1). Junior teammate,
Vijay Powell matched McMeans with a 70, including a birdie at the par-5 18th, securing a T-13 finish at 217 (+4).
Sophomore David Fuhrer delivered a steady final-round 72 (E) to finish T-30 at 223 (+10), while
Uzair Mirza closed with a 74 (+3) to finish T-54 at 228 (+15). Freshman Putter "Sivawong" Aukrawat made his season debut and contributed with an even-par 72, highlighted by birdies on 11 and 17, finishing at 234 (+21).
Mason's 284 was tied for the third-lowest team round on Sunday, reflecting the Patriots' depth and consistency across the lineup.
Team Standings
Loyola Maryland captured the team title with a three-round total of 858 (+6), followed by Navy (863, +11) and Seton Hall (866, +14).
