MacTier, Ontario – The George Mason men's golf team maintained its position in the standings after the second round of the Canadian Collegiate Invitational at Öviinbyrd Golf Club on Monday. The Patriots carded a team total of 294 (+6) to hold ninth place with a two-day total of 586 (+10).

Sophomore David Fuhrer and Junior Vijay Powell led the Patriots on the individual leaderboard, both sitting in a tie for 30th place at +2 overall. Powell fired the low round of the day for Mason with an even-par 72.

Philipp Krone and Vaughn McMeans provided consistent scoring for the Patriots, each posting 74 (+2) in the second round. Uzair Mirza rounded out the Mason lineup.

The Patriots will return to the course for Tuesday's final round looking to make a move up the leaderboard in the highly competitive event.
