LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and Easton have recognized George Mason University softball as an Easton/NFCA Academic Team for the 2025 season.
To earn the honor, a Division I program must post a team GPA of at least 3.50 during the academic year. The Patriots surpassed the mark with a 3.59 GPA for 2024-25.
According to the NFCA, this year's academic awards celebrate the scholastic excellence of more than 9,000 softball student-athletes nationwide. NCAA Division III led the way with 2,565 honorees, followed closely by NCAA Division I (2,544) and Division II (2,179). Junior colleges and NAIA programs accounted for 895 and 1,010 honorees, respectively.
In addition, 17 Patriots earned Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors, which require a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. Senior Jordan Tillman claimed the award for the third straight year, while
Kylie Wilkerson was honored for the second consecutive season.
