Fairfax, Va. Kailynn Tyson brought the 2025 George Mason Outdoor Track and Field season to a close with a strong showing in the triple jump at the NCAA East First Round.

Competing in the third flight, Tyson had to wait patiently as the first two flights completed their attempts. She opened with a mark of 12.02 meters, improved slightly on her second jump with 12.09 meters, and capped off her day and the season with a jump of 12.28 meters. Her efforts earned her a 36th-place finish overall.

The sophomore was the final Patriot to compete at the NCAA First Round. She concludes the season with her head held high, having represented George Mason with determination and poise on the national stage.
