FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason Patriots dropped their doubleheader today, 8-0 and 6-4.
GEORGE MASON 0, LOYOLA CHICAGO 8
For the Patriots in game one, Jordan Tallman (2-7) started in the circle. She pitched 5.1 innings and gave up three hits and two runs. She walked two batters and recorded five strikeouts.
Loyola Chicago scored five runs off four hits and one error in the top of the sixth inning. Wallace singled through the left side, and Crimaldi singled down the left field line, advancing to second on the throw.
Lesnicki reached on a fielder's choice bunt, scoring the first run of the game.
Kylie Wilkerson came in to pitch during the sixth inning. She pitched 1.2 innings and gave up four hits and five runs. She recorded two walks.
With three runners on base still in the sixth, Croker singled and advanced to third on a Patriots error, scoring three runs. Woude singled to shortstop, scoring the last run of the inning, making it 5-0.
Two Patriots recorded hits in the bottom of the sixth. Kaylee Stinnett came in to pinch hit and singled to shortstop, and Elyssa DeRosa singled to right field.
The Ramblers scored three more runs in the top of the seventh. Owens singled to the catcher, and Wallace walked. Crimaldi hit a three-run home run, giving Loyola Chicago an 8-0 lead.
Logan Pickford got a base hit in the bottom of the seventh but was ultimately left on base.

In game two of today's doubleheader, Jordan Anderson (1-7) started in the circle. She pitched 2.2 innings and gave up six hits and six runs. She walked two and recorded one strikeout.
The Patriots scored first in the bottom of the second. They scored four runs off three hits and three errors.
Maddy Johnson tripled to left center, her first of the year. Maya McGowan reached on a fielding error, scoring one run, and Jessica Chan singled to shortstop. With bases loaded, Elyssa DeRosa singled to center field and advanced to third on two Rambler errors, scoring three runs.
Loyola Chicago responded in the top of the third, scoring six runs off six hits. Owens singled through the left side, Wallace singled to right field, and Crimaldi walked.
Abbey Lane came in to pitch during the third inning. She pitched 4.1 innings and gave up four hits and no runs. She recorded three strikeouts and one walk.
Sass singled and advanced to second on the throw, scoring two runs. Croker singled to shortstop, scoring another run. Woude singled to shortstop and Johnson singled up the middle, giving the Ramblers a 6-4 lead.
