Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The sixth-seeded George Mason University men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 contest to No. 3 seed Richmond on Thursday night at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
The setback wraps up the 2024-25 season for the Patriots, who earned seven dual wins and went 2-2 in the league to once again wrap up a top-6 seed in the league championship.
The Patriots took a 1-0 lead in doubles on the strength of a victory at No. 3 by senior

Shari Saeed. The duo took a 6-3 win over the Spider duo of Dylan Atkinson and Otto Sewell. But Richmond took the next two doubles results to pick up the first point of the match.
Despite the 4-0 result, the match proved to be much closer, as George Mason battled in singles play and took five of six matches to three sets. With the Patriots trailing 2-0, senior
Jacco Arends won his first set at No. 3, 6-1, but dropped the final two as Richmond took a 3-0 advantage.
At No. 2, junior
Monil Lotlikar won his first set as well (6-3), but could not win the final two as the Spiders clinched the match at that position.
In addition, junior
Ekansh Kumar won his first set (7-5) and had a 1-0 lead in the third when the match was called. And at No. 6, Saeed won his second set (6-4) and was in a tight 3-4 third set at the conclusion of the contest.
