GEORGE MASON 6, SAINT LOUIS 8
Jordan Tallman started in the circle for the Patriots in game one. She pitched 4.1 innings and gave up five hits and five runs. She recorded one walk.
George Mason got things going early in the top of the first. They scored two runs off two hits.
Tess Altevers Harris singled up the middle, and
Logan Pickford singled through the left side.
In the bottom of the first, Saint Louis scored one run off no hits and one error. Karsen walked, and Ulsas reached first on a throwing error, allowing runners to advance to second and third. Sullivan flew out to left field, scoring one
The Patriots scored two more in the top of the second off one hit. With bases loaded,
Elyssa DeRosa singled to first base, scoring
Emma Salzman, who was a pinch runner.
In the top of the third, the Patriots made it 6-1 off two hits. Pickford walked,
Charlotte Montgomery laid down the bunt, and
Emily Lampela laid down a sacrifice bunt to move runners to second and third.
Maya McGowan singled to left field, scoring a run and
Jessica Chan grounded out, scoring another run.
Saint Louis got three runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth off three hits and one error.
The Billikens got the game within one in the bottom of the fifth. Mallo singled to left field, and Sullivan laid down a bunt for a base hit.
Kylie Wilkerson came in to pitch during the fifth inning. She pitched 2.0 innings and gave up three hits and one run. She walked two batters.
Saint Louis tied the game 6-6 in the bottom of the sixth off one hit and one error. Jany reached on a fielding error, and Sullivan singled to left field.
Jordan Anderson (1-6) came in to pitch during the bottom of the seventh. She pitched 1.0 inning and gave up two hits and two runs. She recorded one strikeout.
The Billikens won the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. Sullivan hit a two-run walk-off home run to give Saint Louis the lead 8-6.
GEORGE MASON 2, SAINT LOUIS 3
In the last game of the series, Kylie Wilkerson (4-6) started in the circle. She pitched a complete game and gave up eight hits and three runs. She recorded two walks and one strikeout.
The Patriots scored first in the top of the second. Kamryn Inman walked, stole second, and got to third on a ground out by Kaitlyn Bronowicz. Charlotte Montgomery singled to third base, scoring a run, 1-0
The Billikens took the lead in the bottom of the third off three hits. Jany singled through the left side, Sullivan singled to left center, and Mallo singled to left center.
Logan Pickford tied the game 2-2 in the top of the fourth. She hit a solo home run over the center field wall.
Saint Louis took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Rhine singled down the left field line, and Marietta doubled to center field, scoring a run.
