FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team hosts George Washington University for a doubleheader on April 2nd starting at 2:00 p.m.

A LOOK AT THE PATRIOTS
The Patriots just played a three-game series against the Minutewomen of Massachusetts. George Mason dropped both games on March 29th, 2-1, and then 6-5 in nine innings.
 
Tess Altevers Harris hit a three-run home run on day two of the series to help the Patriots win 3-2. Harlowe Nigh earned her fourth win in the circle and Kylie Wilkerson earned her second save of the season. Umass took the series 2-1.
 
As a team, the Patriots are ranked first in the Atlantic 10 conference for total stolen bases (66) and stolen bases per game (1.94). The team is still number one for triples (15) and triples per game (0.44), ranking seventh and ninth nationally.
 
Emily Lampela ranks first in the A-10 for hit-by-pitch (7), Kamryn Inman ranks second for stolen bases per game (0.54), Tess Altevers Harris ranks third for slugging percentage (0.667), and Elyssa DeRosa still holds on to the number one spot for triples (6), ranking her fifth nationally.
 
Harlowe Nigh, Kylie Wilkerson, and Abbey Lane all rank third in the conference for saves (2).

The Revolutionaries are coming off a 3-0 series sweep against Dayton.
 
Ashley Corpuz leads the team with a .432 batting average. She leads the A-10 conference in batting average, doubles (11), and doubles per game (0.34). She is ranked 20th in the nation for home runs (13), 25th in the nation for RBIs (43), and 13th for runs batted in per game (1.34)
 
Allison Heffley is ranked second on the team with a .418 batting average. She is second in the conference for batting average, second in on-base percentage (0.530), and third for runs per game (0.97)
 
As a team, the Revolutionaries are ranked first in the A-10 for batting average (0.305), doubles (53), ERA (2.92), hits (248), scoring (5.44), and shutouts (9)
 
George Mason and George Washington last met in April of last year. The Patriots dropped both games 10-2 in five innings and 2-1 in eight innings.
