RICHMOND, Va. – The George Mason women's lacrosse team travels south to Richmond for their first Atlantic 10 match of the season. First draw between the Patriots and Spiders is set for 3:30 p.m.
George Mason and Richmond are 9-13 historically. Last year, the Green & Gold dropped a close contest to the eventual conference champions, 15-14.
Last season, the Patriots went 10-8, 4-6 in A-10 play, which was the programs best season since 2019, and the best season under head coach
Kara Mupo. It was also the Patriots' first appearance in the Atlantic 10 tournament since 2019.

The Richmond women's lacrosse team has a 2-4 record through six games, with one win at home and one on the road. The reigning A-10 champions have scored 70 goals on 146 shot attempts, averaging 11.67 goals per game with a .479 shooting percentage. Richmond has recorded 42 assists, averaging seven per game, and has converted on 16 of 33 free position opportunities for a .485 free position percentage. The team has collected 93 ground balls and secured 76 draw controls while committing 98 turnovers and causing 39. Richmond has cleared successfully on 102 of 116 attempts for an .879 clear percentage. Defensively, they have allowed 81 goals, with their opponents averaging 13.50 goals per game.
