- This fall, our student-athletes achieved an impressive 3.32 GPA, with over 78 Provost Scholars earning a 3.75 GPA or higher, and nearly half securing Dean's List honors.
- Men's and women's swimming and diving showcased their excellence at the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) Championships, finishing 3rd and 5th, respectively. A special congratulations to Ali Tyler, who earned the title of A-10 Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet!
- Men's and women's track and field dominated at the A-10 Indoor Championshipswith the men finishing in 2nd place and the women claiming 1st place and the conference championship, the first since 2014.
- Men's wrestling heads into the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships with a 6-2 conference record, ready to take on the best in Trenton, NJ.
- Men's and women's basketball each set records this season and both sit atop the A-10 standings, poised for deep postseason runs!

It's March, and you know what that means—championship season is here! Our basketball programs are battle-tested and ready to compete for A-10 titles.
Women's Basketball takes center stage in Henrico County, VA, March 7–9. Following this week's remaining two regular season games, Men's Basketball will light up Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., March 14–16.

Embracing a New Era: House v. NCAA Settlement
A transformative moment in college athletics is on the horizon. The proposed House v. NCAA settlement, if approved on April 7, 2025, will introduce groundbreaking changes:
- $2.8 billion in back damages for Division I student-athletes from 2016-2024.
- A new model allowing institutions to distribute Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) benefits directly to student-athletes up to $20.5 million annually.
- A shift from scholarship limits to roster limits, redefining roster management.
George Mason University is committed to staying at the forefront of this evolution. Pending approval on April 7th, 2025, the university intends to opt into the settlement framework—ensuring our flagship programs remain competitive in the basketball-centric A-10 conference and a source of pride for Mason Nation.
