Seattle, Wa. -- The George Mason golf team will play in the 11
th annual Redhawk Invitational on the famed Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington, beginning March 31.
Participating Teams: George Mason, UC San Diego, Oregon State, George Washington, Eastern Kentucky, UC Santa Barbara, Creighton, Sacred Heart, Utah Tech, Sacramento State, Lamar, UC Riverside, Idaho, St. Thomas, Abilene Christian, Penn, and North Idaho will compete.
Chambers Bay: The 18-team field will play a two-day tournament featuring three rounds at the par 72 Chambers Bay Golf Course, located along the shores of the Puget Sound in University Place, Washington. The 2015 U.S. Open Championship and the 2022 U.S. Women's Amateur were held at the famed course. It was the first U.S. Open in the 115-year history of the Men's U.S. Open Championship to be played in the Pacific Northwest.
History at the Redhawk Invitational: The George Mason golf team finished fifth at the 2024 Redhawk Invitational. The Patriots finished a team seven-over-par 571 (287-284-268=859) tied with Gonzaga, only one stroke behind UC San Diego. Sophomore
