SCOUTING THE REVOLUTIONARIES

George Washington women's lacrosse has had an up-and-down season, currently holding a 5-6 overall record but struggling in conference play at 0-5. The Colonials have shown strong offensive capabilities in non-conference matchups, averaging 10.45 goals per game while taking nearly 27 shots per contest. Their top scorers, Grace Curry and Katie Fullowan, lead the team with 26 goals each, while Everly Kessler has added 18 goals and six assists. The team is efficient in free-position opportunities, converting 40.9% of their attempts. However, they have struggled with turnovers, committing 149 while forcing only 70 from opponents, which has contributed to their difficulties in conference play.

Defensively, GW has had challenges maintaining consistency, allowing 10.73 goals per game while opponents are outpacing them in draw controls (132-122) and caused turnovers (90-70). Goalkeeper Gabi Greth has started every game, posting a .443 save percentage and a 10.67 goals-against average. The Colonials have also faced difficulty in second and third quarters, where they have been outscored 36-23 and 34-31, respectively, which suggests a need for stronger mid-game adjustments. While GW has been competitive in most games, their conference struggles indicate they need to tighten up on both ends to turn things around.
