Maddy Johnson has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, and Junior
Tess Altevers Harris has been named Player of the Week for the week of March 24
th, 2025.
Johnson, a Haymarket, Va. native, was 2 for 2 in the Patriots' first game against St. Bonaventure. She scored two runs in GM's win over the Bonnies. Johnson went 3 for 4 in the final contest of the series with one run scored and one RBI. Johnson, an infielder, finished the series 6 for 9 with four runs scored, two RBIs, and two stolen bases.
Altevers-Harris, a third baseman, made all three starts for the Patriots in their three-game sweep of St. Bonaventure. In game two against the Bonnies, she was 3 for 4 with a double, triple, and home run. Altevers-Harris finished the final matchup of the series a single away from the cycle. The San Diego, Calif. native slugged a double, triple, and home run with five RBIs and one run scored. She finished the series 6 for 9 with seven RBI and a 2.000 slugging percentage.
As a team, George Mason is currently 13-17 (5-1, A-10) on the year. The Patriots rank first in the conference in home runs (17) and stolen bases per game (2.07). The Patriots also rank first in the A-10 in total stolen bases (62) and triples (14), ranking them seventh in the nation.
