FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason Patriots won big in game one against the Bonnies at St. Bonaventure, 10-2.

Sophomore
Kylie Wilkerson started in the circle for the Patriots today. She pitched 5.0 innings and gave up seven hits, walked one batter, and had four strikeouts.
Both teams scored a run in their first inning at bat.
Madi Sobota singled up the middle for the Patriots, and
Logan Pickford hit a double to right center scoring, the first run. For the Bonnies, Recrosio doubled down the left field line then Wang singled through the right side scoring a run.
George Mason scored the go-ahead run in the top of the second.
Kamryn Inman walked,
Maddy Johnson laid down a bunt for a base hit, and
Maya McGowan laid down a sacrifice bunt to move the runners in scoring position.
Charlotte Montgomery walked, and with bases loaded
Elyssa DeRosa walked to make it 2-1.
The Patriots scored two more runs in the top of the second. Sobota grounded out to shortstop scoring a run, and Montgomery scored on a wild pitch.
George Mason kept the energy up and scored two more runs in the top of the third off no hits and one error. McGowan fouled out the right field to score
Tess Altevers Harris.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Patriots scored one run off one hit and no errors. DeRosa singled to third base and
Emily Lampela scored on a wild pitch to make it 7-1
George Mason had double-digit runs on the board in the top of the fifth. They scored three runs off three hits to make it 10-1. Johnson laid down another bunt for a base hit, Montgomery singled up the middle, scoring two, and Sobota flew out to left field, scoring another run.
The Bonnies scored their second run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. Ahern singled up the middle, Wang reached first on a fielding error by the Patriots, Stull reached on a fielder's choice scoring a run, and Park singled through the left side, making it 10-2.

The Patriots play a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 11:00 a.m. against St. Bonaventure at Joyce Field to finish the weekend series.
