FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason Patriots dropped their game today 1-0 against No. 23 ranked Virginia in Charlottesville.

Harlowe Nigh started in the circle for the Patriots today. She pitched 2.0 innings and gave up three hits and one extra-base hit.
Abbey Lane came in to pitch in the top of the third inning. She pitched 2.0 innings and gave up one hit and one run on one error. She walked two batters.
The Cavaliers scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the third inning. Hylton walked and stole second, then Ayer hit a single and advanced to second on the throw home.
Kamryn Inman got the bats going for the Patriots in the top of the fifth inning. She hit a single up the middle but was ultimately left on base.
Haleigh Dellow made her fifth appearance of the year in the bottom of the fifth inning. She pitched 2.0 innings, gave up one hit, and had one walk and one strikeout.
E. Bigham for the Cavaliers pitched a complete game. She gave up one hit, walked one batter, and had 10 strikeouts. The Cavaliers ended up winning 1-0
