Philadelphia, Pa. – George Mason put together a dominant fourth-quarter rally but ultimately fell short in a 16-9 loss to Saint Joseph's on Saturday in Atlantic 10 action at Sweeney Field.
After a slow start, the Patriots (5-5, 0-3 A-10) found their rhythm in the second half, outscoring the Hawks 8-3 over the final two quarters. Senior Kate Anders led the way with a hat trick, while Dahlia Trippel and Giselle Torain each added key goals during George Mason's fourth-quarter surge.
Despite facing an early deficit, the Patriots fought until the final whistle, closing the game on a six-goal run to put pressure on the Hawks. Goalkeeper Regan Bestick made 12 saves to help steady the defense, while George Mason won the draw control battle in the fourth quarter to fuel the comeback effort.
