Last season, the Patriots went 10-8, 4-6 in A-10 play, which was the programs best season since 2019, and the best season under head coach Kara Mupo. It was also the Patriots' first appearance in the Atlantic 10 tournament since 2019.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
This is the Highlander's first game of the season. Last year, Radford went 6-11, 3-5 in the Big South. They did not make the Big South tournament last year. This season, they were picked to finished 5th in the conference in the preseason poll. The Highlanders are returning last year's Second Team All-Conference honoree Mady Cheney for her junior season. The midfielder was selected to the Preseason All-Conference team after tallying 35 goals (including six hat tricks) and 51 draw controls last season.

Also returning for the Highlanders is 2024 Big South Honorable Mention honorees Lauren Davis and Emily Strother. Davis finished last season tallying 22 ground balls and caused 14 turnover, while Strother led the team in ground balls with 34.
