FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's lacrosse team opens the 2025 season on Friday with a neutral site matchup against Kent State.
 
The Patriots and the Golden Flash will meet at the St. James in Springfield, Va. for the just the second time in program history, the first time being last year when George Mason beat Kent State 13-6.
 
Last season, the Patriots went 10-8, 4-6 in A-10 play, which was the programs best season since 2019, and the best season under head coach Kara Mupo. It was also the Patriots' first appearance in the Atlantic 10 tournament since 2019.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Golden Flash finished last season 6-11, 3-3 in MAC play, narrowly missing out on qualifying for the MAC tournament. Junior Zayda Crumpton returns for the Golden Flash after earning All-MAC First Team honors after tallying 34 goals and 20 assists in 17 games. All-MAC Rookie Team honorees Morgan Halli and Sydney David also return for Kent State. Davis tallied 76 saves and Halli recorded 17 goals.
