FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason Patriots women's lacrosse team is set to host the Lindenwood Lions on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 12 p.m. at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia. Admission is free, and fans can also watch the livestream on ESPN+.
 
George Mason and Lindenwood have never played each other before, this will be their first matchup. Both teams enter the matchup with two wins under their belt so far this season.
 
Last season, the Patriots went 10-8, 4-6 in A-10 play, which was the programs best season since 2019, and the best season under head coach 
Kara Mupo. It was also the Patriots' first appearance in the Atlantic 10 tournament since 2019.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Lindenwood enters the matchup with a high-powered offense, averaging 15.5 goals per game through two contests. Their attack is spearheaded by Alissa DiGiacinto, who has tallied nine goals and two assists, and Reese Krieger, who has netted eight goals. The Lions have been highly efficient shooters, converting 52.5% of their attempts with an impressive 76.3% shots-on-goal percentage.
In the possession game, they have dominated draw controls, holding a 39-19 advantage over opponents, thanks in large part to graduate attacker Ryleigh Cavanaugh. Defensively, Lindenwood has allowed 10.0 goals per game while forcing 22 caused turnovers. Graduate goalkeeper Aislinn Sweeney has been solid between the pipes, posting a .535 save percentage with a 10.79 goals-against average.
