HAMPTON, Va. – George Mason senior
Ali Tyler was named Most Outstanding Swimmer at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships held at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
On the final day of competition on Saturday, Tyler set a new Atlantic 10 and team record in the 100-yard freestyle, claiming the gold medal in the event for the second straight year (48.62).
Tyler won three individual titles, setting new Atlantic 10 records in both the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM and posting new team records (100 Freestyle, 200 IM, 100 Backstroke). She also helped the Patriots win two relay medals, with gold in the 400-yard medley relay and silver in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
After just missing the podium in the event last year, senior
Emma DeJong also medaled in the 100-yard freestyle with a third-place finish to capture the bronze medal (49.94).
On the women's side, George Washington won the Atlantic 10 Championship for the fourth straight year (598.5), with Richmond second (571) and Duquesne third (525). Fordham finished fourth (339) followed by George Mason (324), Davidson (300.5), Massachusetts (284), La Salle (268), St. Bonaventure (241), Rhode Island (189) and Saint Louis (72).

In the championship final of the 200-yard butterfly, graduate student
Abigail Murtaugh placed seventh (2:03.66).
Sophomore
Kristen Ivey finished seventh in the championship final of the 1650-yard freestyle (16:57.33).
In the consolation final of the 200-yard backstroke, senior
Anka Whelan placed first (2:00.31) and classmate
Sydney Atkins was eighth (2:04.51).
On the men's side, George Washington claimed the A-10 title for the fifth straight year (883.5), with St. Bonaventure second (517.5) and George Mason third (509). Davidson was fourth (446) followed by La Salle (358), Massachusetts (332), Fordham (250) and Saint Louis (209).
Junior
Tate Anderson won the bronze medal in the 100-yard freestyle (43.27). In the consolation final of the event, senior
Zane Roberts finished first (44.45).
Sophomore
Ian Rodgers finished second to capture the silver medal in the 200-yard backstroke (1:44.55).
The Patriots 400-yard freestyle relay team of Anderson, Rodgers, graduate student
Kyle Johnson and Roberts touched the wall second to claim the silver medal with a new team record (2:55.11).
In the championship final of the 200-yard breaststroke, senior
Tyler Lentine placed fourth (1:56.96) and junior
Jack Chapman finished sixth (2:01.05).
Junior
Aoun Al-Hiari was sixth in the championship final of the 200-yard butterfly (1:47.13). In the consolation final of the event, Johnson placed second (1:48.29) and junior
Michael Bock was fifth (1:50.36).
In the 1650-yard freestyle, sophomore
Alex Crown placed fourth (15:30.97), junior
Max Fermayer finished eighth (15:44.64) and sophomore
Cody Scifres was 14th (15:55.77).
Sophomore
Christian Anderson placed eighth in the championship final of the three-meter diving event with a score of 225.10.
The Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships are the final team competition of the 2024-25 season.
