FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's lacrosse team hosts their home opener on Friday, February 14, at 4 p.m. at George Mason Stadium against the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.
George Mason and Radford have only met once previously, last year in a late February match up when the Patriots pulled out a 19-11 win in North Carolina. Now-junior
Kaitlyn Bestick had her first career hat trick in that match.
Last season, the Patriots went 10-8, 4-6 in A-10 play, which was the programs best season since 2019, and the best season under head coach
Kara Mupo. It was also the Patriots' first appearance in the Atlantic 10 tournament since 2019.

- In their opening week, six Patriots notched multiple goals. Peyton Farley, Dahlia Trippel, and Daniella Jimenez currently lead the team. Farley has nine points (5 goals, 4 assists), Trippel has tallied six goals, and Jimenez has added 4 goals and 2 assists of her own.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Runnin' Bulldogs are currently 0-1 on the season. They dropped their opening contest to UNC-Charlotte, 20-2, with junior midfielder Emma Duchscherer and freshman attack Katie Westbrook has the lone two goal scorers.
Gardner-Webb finished last season 0-17, losing by an average of 11.8 goals per match. Since last season, assistant coach Chris Harris was named interim head coach, and the Runnin' Bulldogs added 12 newcomers.
