Fairfax, Va.- Walt Bannerman has been chosen as the A10 Field Performer of the Week at 4:30 pm on February 11. This is the second time this season that Walt has been honored with the award.
 
Walt Bannerman competed at the Doc Hale meet against tough competition. He finished in first place together with Evan Puckett from Tennessee and Matt Gray who was unattached. Bannerman reached a new personal best of 5.40m in the pole vault. 
His mark keeps in second for the George Mason all-time list and it solidifies his spot at the top of the conference with the best mark in the A10. He also has the 7^th best score in the Southeast region and is currently 29^th in the NCAA. 
 
Track and field will be back in action this Friday and Saturday to compete in the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty University.
