Fairfax, Va. -- The George Mason wrestling team will host the annual George Mason Duals at the Field House on Saturday, beginning at 9 am
 
The five-team event includes MAC foe Bloomsburg, Campbell, The Citadel and Williams College.
 

MAC Preseason: The Mid-American Conference released the 2025-26 MAC Wrestling Preseason Poll, ranking George Mason first among the league's 12 teams, its best preseason ranking in the conference since joining in 2018.

The 10 individual weight classes were also ranked. 

The Patriots have wrestlers ranked in the top four in seven weight classes:

Last time out:  Mason opened the 2025-26 season with six place-winners the 47th annual Navy Classic.

Kaden Cassidy won four straight matches to capture the 147-pound title. Cassidy, ranked No. 18 nationally, earned an impressive 15-9 victory over No. 8 Kade Brown of Pittsburgh in the semifinals before winning 10-7 in the championship bout against Eugene Harney from Morgan State. 

At 184 pounds, Malachi DuVall turned in a strong performance to finish second overall. DuVall battled All-American Allred of Nebraska to overtime in the championship match, before falling 9-6. After defeating UVA's J. Lesher, 11-8, DuVall earned a dominant first-period fall (2:43) over American's C. Campos in the semifinals.
