STUDENT ATHLETE'S QUOTES
We asked a few of our student athletes to share a quote on our fall training block as well as share a favorite memory from the last two months. See below!
Senior, Kate Anders
"I believe the fall training has been a step in the right direction for this program. Our newcomers and transfers came ready to make an impact, and our returners are upholding the standards we have set. I am excited to see what we continue to put together on the field with the games we have left to play this fall. Overall, it has been a competitive and hardworking environment that makes me excited for what this team has to offer"
Favorite Memory: "Competing against team England and being able to spend time with them afterwards was an incredibly fun and exciting experience"
Senior, Hailey Zutic
"Thus far, our fall training has been very rewarding. I feel this is some of the hardest we have been pushed in the fall. This group of girls truly knows how to compete with one another while having fun. All the returning upperclassmen are thrilled with this year's incoming freshmen and transfers, and it has been a joy getting to know them."
Favorite Memory: "My favorite day of the fall was when we split into competition teams and played a variety of fun games as a surprise! It was so fun to compete in other ways like knockout and kickball!"
Favorite Memory"
Graduate Student, Maddie Charland
"If I could describe this fall so far in one word, I would say gritty. It's been rewarding to come out every day with the amazing people around me and put our heads down and grind"
Favorite Memory: "One of my favorite memories so far was getting tricked that we were going to practice, but instead we played a series of trivia and games with one another for a competition Friday. It was so much fun!"
Junior, Avery Smith
" Fall training has been great so far. Everyone has been working hard to get ready for our competitive season ahead. Our team is super close on and off the field, which makes our training days that much easier to get through. I am loving this fall and am so excited for the rest of our fall season.
Favorite Memory: "One of my favorite days was our scrimmage verse team England. It was such an exciting opportunity and gave us a great experience against some of the best players in the world. Games like these make our team better as a whole and give us an opportunity to have an experience with international players and help grow the game!"
