Fairfax, Va. -- In the opening match of the spring season, the Patriots fell to rival George Washington in a match played indoors at Burke Racquet and Swim Club on Saturday night.
"I like how hard we fought against a very good GW team," said Head Coach Steve Curtis. "We showed some nerves in our first match of the season which is expected. We will learn and build from this loss."
George Mason's No. 3 doubles team took the Revs team to the tie-breaker set, but George Washington earned the doubles point with a sweep. The Patriots

George Washington swept the Patriots in the six singles matches for the 7-0 win.
The Patriots are back in action against the Radford Highlanders on Feb. 1 at 6:45 pm at Burke Racquet and Swim Club.
