Fairfax, Va. -- The George Mason women's tennis team opens its 2025 spring schedule at Atlantic 10 conference foe George Washington on Saturday, January 26 at 6:45 pm inside Burke Racquet and Swim Club.
  
The Patriots are led by freshman Maya Bayat, who earned a 9-3 singles record and 8-3 doubles record during the fall tournament season. 
 
A few other freshman made their mark early in their collegiate careers this past fall season. Shivaani Ganesh was 7-3 in singles, while Paige Massey finished 5-1 in singles and 8-3 in doubles paired up with Bayat. Sophomore Mary Young was 5-2 in singles and 4-4 in doubles with teammate Brooklyn Siegel.
 
The Patriots finished the annual Bedford Cup with a winning record in singles matches, 15-11, led by a Flight 5 championship by Maya Bayat with a 3-0 record. Sophomore Noelle Talarek won the back draw.
