Fairfax, Va.- George Mason claim the 4
th spot at the Cantello Invitational from the men's cross-country team. This weekend was the opportunity for the experienced runners from the men's team to get the rust off and start competing once again.
Wesley Bond made his return to a cross country meet and he returned with a 3
rd place finish overall with a time of 24:37.93.
Gavin Mogck had an amazing freshman year and he continued his high performances by finishing second for the Patriots and 13
th overall with a time of 25:12.80.
Alex DeRoussel finished 17
th (25:22.21),
Biruk Beardsley placed 25
th (26:01.59), and
Travis Albon finished 28
th (26:12.36) to gain points for George Mason and help the Patriots reach 4
th place.
"Good opener for us", said head coach
Andrew Gerard.
"Lots to digest but positive for the most part - our #4-5-6 men were all new to the 5 mile distance and this was a tough introduction on a challenging course but they handled it well and we've got lots to build on."

The Patriots will return to action next weekend for the Adidas Cross Country Challenge in Cary, North Carolina hosted by NC State. The race is set to begin at 5 pm.
