FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University men's tennis team heads to the United States Naval Academy to compete in the Joe Hunt Invite this weekend in Annapolis, Md.
The Patriots will compete in singles and doubles tournament play against student-athletes from host Navy, as well as Fairleigh Dickinson, Johns Hopkins, Mary Washington, Morgan State, Mt. St. Mary's, Norfolk State, Presbyterian and St. Bonaventure.

The Green & Gold opened the 2024 fall season this past weekend at the Mary Washington Kickoff Classic in Fredericksburg, Va. George Mason went a strong 8-4 in doubles play, including perfect 3-0 records from the new tandem of
Ekansh Kumar and
Shari Saeed, as well as Mason's outstanding duo of senior
Monil Lotlikar and junior
Niza Simunyola.
In singles, Saeed, Simunyola, Kumar and junior
Zavan Fahim each led the way by winning two of their three matches.
After this weekend's matches in Annapolis, the Patriots will travel to the annual ITA Regional, held this season at Old Dominion University. The event is scheduled for Oct. 10-14 in Norfolk, Va.
