FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University men's tennis sophomore
Monil Lotlikar has been named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team, while junior
Jacco Arends has garnered A-10 All-Academic honors.
It marks the second-straight season Lotlikar has earned a spot on the all-conference second team, while Arends is an All-Academic pick in his first campaign as a Patriot.
Lotlikar starred for the Patriots at both No. 1 singles and doubles in 2023-24. He tallied a 3-1 A-10 singles record at the top spot and notched 15 singles wins overall, including an A-10 Tournament triumph against Saint Louis. He also posted an impressive 13-5 dual record at No. 1 doubles alongside
Niza Simunyola. His singles victories included wins against foes from Villanova, James Madison, Saint Joseph's, St. Bonaventure and Fordham, among others.
Arends made a major impact both on the court and in the classroom this season for the Green & Gold. He held down both the No. 2 singles spot for the Patriots and an impressive 4.0 GPA in his economics program. He led George Mason with 16 overall singles wins and posted a 9-6 dual mark at the No. 2 spot, including a 2-0 record in A-10 play. In doubles, he won nine matches at No. 2 and registered a 15-12 record overall.
