Fairfax, Va. -- The George Mason women's tennis team will celebrate its Senior Day on Saturday morning at the George Mason Tennis Complex.
The ceremony will take place prior to the Patriots match against Howard at 11:00 am.
Jenin Alasadi,
Ruju Chauhan,
Dana Edson,
Maïlys Faur, and
Emily Wirt will be honored for their contributions to the program.
The class is led by four-year members and senior captains of the Mason tennis program, Alasadi and Wirt. The duo teamed up as the top doubles team this season, playing in 17 matches.
Edson is a Provost Scholar-Athlete graduating early to attend the Columbia School of Physical Therapy this fall. The McLean, Va. native was in the singles rotation for the dual match season and played 14 doubles matches this season.
Faur is an exchange student from France on a one-year program. The Paris native played in three singles matches and was paired up with three different doubles partners during the season.
Chauhan played this season as a graduate transfer from Prairie View A&M working toward her M.S. in Kinesiology at Mason. A native of India, Chauhan recorded a 7-1 record during the fall season and earned an ITA Ranking.
Next week, Mason women's tennis will host Hampton University on Wednesday, April 10 at 2 pm.
