WASHINGTON, D.C. – George Mason women's lacrosse freshman Daniella Jimenez has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
 
The honor is the second this season for Jimenez and the fifth overall for the Patriots, as the attacker was also tabbed Rookie of the Week on March 25. Graduate students Shannon Tuozzo and Meghan Deehan have combined for three honors on Feb. 26, April 2 and April 15.
 
In 1-0 week for Mason, Jimenez scored three points on a career-high two assists to push the Patriots to a 16-11 win over La Salle while adding a goal as well.
 
The Woodbridge, Va. native's goal also marked the sixth-straight game finding the back of the net, all against conference opponents.
 
Jimenez and the Patriots host Saint Joseph's this weekend for their regular season finale. Opening draw with the Hawks is set for 12 p.m.
