FAIRFAX, Va. –
For the second straight season, the George Mason University men's tennis team has matched its best ever seed in the A-10 Championship and will open play on Friday morning at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

The Patriots will compete as the No. 5 seed and battle No. 4 Saint Louis at 9 a.m. on April 26. Live results will be available via Stat Broadcast and court cams will be available for the match, posted later in the week.

With a victory, Mason would move on to battle No. 1 VCU on Saturday.

The Green & Gold's 3-1 A-10 conference record this season represents the best in-league winning percentage (.750) since the program joined the league in 2013-14.

Mason's dual singles play has proved to be the difference maker in A-10 contests, as the Patriots have notched an 11-4 (.733) mark in league matches. No. 1 stalwart Monil Lotlikar is 3-1 in A-10 matches while No. 2 player Jacco Arends is 2-0. Overall, Arends is 11-5 in dual singles this season.

In league affairs, the Patriots picked up sweeps of Saint Joseph's (4-0) and Fordham (5-0) and took down St. Bonaventure, 4-1. Mason's lone loss came to No. 2 seed Richmond.
