FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's lacrosse team is back in action this weekend at home when they welcome St. Bonaventure to George Mason Stadium on Saturday afternoon for the team's Pride Game and Alumni Day.
In the 10
th all-time meeting between the two teams, Mason will look to get back in the win column after dropping its' first game in the series to the Bonnies on the road. St. Bonaventure picked up the win at home to snap an eight-game win streak to Mason.
Both teams are looking to bounce back from a loss the last time out. Mason fell on the road at Davidson, 16-6, last weekend. Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure dropped its' first home game of the season to Saint Joseph's, 16-7.

- Three Patriots have earned Atlantic 10 Weekly Honors this season: Meghan Deehan (Co-Defensive), Shannon Tuozzo (Co-Offensive) and Daniella Jimenez (Rookie)
- Shannon Tuozzo ranks in the top-5 in the Atlantic 10 in several categories: draw controls per game (2nd), goals per game (4th) and points per game (5th). She is also 27th in the NCAA in draw controls per game with 5.93
- The graduate student also leads the team in points (56), assists (12), ground balls (22) and draw controls (83) and is second in caused turnovers (8)
- Four other Patriots have tallied 20+ goals: Dahlia Trippel (26), Peyton Farley (23), Chloe Reed (22) and Morgan Gunn (22)
- Defensively, Ciara Curtis has tallied a team-high 11 caused turnovers
- Lauren Distad is second on the team with 78 draw controls, as she and Tuozzo are the only two teammates in the Atlantic 10 with 70+ draw controls each, while the team is second in the Atlantic 10 in draws per game
SCOUTING THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure sits at .500 on the season after a 4-4 non-conference record and a 3-3 mark in Atlantic 10 play. The Bonnies have common wins over George Washington (14-7) and Duquesne (19-6) as well as a league victory over La Salle (17-7). The last time out, St. Bonaventure fell on the road at Richmond.
Two players have scored 25+ goals and 30+ points for the Bonnies, led by Fiona McGovern's 47 points on 26 goals and a team-high 21 assists. McGovern's 3.36 points per contest rank eighth in the conference and her 1.50 assists per game rank seventh. Brooke Piper leads the team with 29 goals on the season with five hat tricks in 2024.
Piper is also one of two players with 50+ draw controls on the season to lead the Bonnies with 51, while Megan Schillinger leads the squad with 56. Defensively, Brit Colangelo has dominated with a team-best 37 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers, both good for top-4 in the A-10. Ashley Herrick has started all 14 games for the Bonnies and is fourth in the conference with a .445 save percentage and second with 7.21 saves per game.
