Fairfax, Va. -- The George Mason women's team will open its home slate against the University of Rhode Island on Friday, March 15 at the George Mason Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
The Patriots (3-8) are returning from the PTR SpringFest in Hilton Head splitting its four match (2-2) during the annual spring break tournament. Mason earned a 5-2 win against NC Wesleyan and edged St. Francis, 4-3. The Green & Gold dropped matches against Tiffin University, a nationally ranked DII program, and UNC Wilmington.
Three Patriots won two singles matches each at the spring break tournament,
Cenan Liu, Maitree Rout, and Brooke Siegel.
Rhode Island (9-2) comes to Fairfax on an eight-match win streak, including wins against local teams Georgetown and Mount St. Mary's.
