FAIRFAX – George Mason Athletics posted its highest single-year Graduation Success Rate (GSR) with a 92 percent, and nine Patriots' teams posted a 100 percent four-year score in the latest data reported by the NCAA on Wednesday.

The Patriots four-class average in the Graduation Success Rate (GSR) is above the national average (91%), and tops George Mason's previous high score of 90 percent released in 2019.

George Mason ranked fourth in the A-10 with nine Patriots teams with a perfect GSR of 100 (Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, Men's Tennis, Women's Basketball, Lacrosse, Women's Soccer, Women's Swimming and Diving, Women's Tennis, and Women's Volleyball). Davidson paced the A-10 behind 13 sports with a perfect 100 percent mark, followed by St. Bonaventure with 11 and Richmond with 10.

It is the 11th consecutive perfect 100 for George Mason men's tennis. The Patriots lacrosse and women's volleyball each earned a perfect 100 for the eighth straight year, followed by women's basketball with seven straight times.

Atlantic 10 Conference student-athletes and institutions set a new league record with a 95 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR). The league also was close to the record for number of teams for the second straight year with a perfect 100 percent GSR with 118 programs at the top of the metric in the latest data reported by the NCAA.

The league-wide 95 percent GSR tops the previous mark of 94 percent first set with the 2019 GSR report and equaled in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and places the A-10 in a tie for third place among all conferences. The 118 perfect programs tied last year's total and is just below the record mark of 119 set in 2022.

The GSR was developed as an improved measurement tool for tracking student-athletes' academic progress leading toward graduation. The graduation success rate is based on a comparison of the number of scholarship student-athletes who enter a college or university and the number who graduate within six years. The GSR takes into account transfers and student-athletes who leave in good academic standing.
