DAVIDSON, N.C. – The George Mason University men's tennis team will send a trio of student-athletes to the inaugural A-10 Masters Event this weekend on the campus of Davidson College.
 
The first of its kind fall league tournament will pit some of the A-10's best singles players and doubles tandems against each other in a preview of spring competition.
 
Junior Ekansh Kumar and senior Monil Lotlikar will compete for the Patriots in singles, while Lotlikar and doubles partner Niza Simunyola will pair up in that draw.
 
Kumar faces Fordham's William Lokier in the Round of 16 on Friday at 12 p.m., while Lotlikar battles Saint Joseph's' Othman Bezzaz at 1:30 p.m. Kumar is off to a great start to his Patriot career, with 6-2 tournament singles record during the fall season.
 
Simunyola and Lotlikar will take on the top-ranked doubles tandem – VCU's Alfred Almasi and German Samofalov – at 10 a.m. Friday. Lotlikar and Simunyola are 5-1 together so far this fall.
