ANNAPOLIS, Md. -Â The George Mason women's and men's swimming and diving teams wrapped up competition in a tri-meet against Navy, Louisiana State and Loyola on Friday in Annapolis, Md.
On the women's side, sophomore
Kristen Ivey placed fifth in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:36.57). Freshman
Greta Mott touched the wall sixth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.53). Mott placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.82).
Graduate student
Peyton Brehmer took sixth in the 50-yard freestyle (24.02) and senior
Ali Tyler finished sixth n the 100-yard freestyle (52.27). In the 100-yard backstroke, Tyler was sixth (57.21) and classmate
Anka Whelan finished seventh (57.87).
Graduate student
Abigail Murtaugh placed seventh in the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.15) and ninth in the 100-yard butterfly (57.72). Senior
Emma DeJong placed ninth in the 200-yard IM (2:10.33).
The team of senior
Shannon Judge, junior
Ainsley Toews, Whelan and Brehmer swam to a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.61). The group of Tyler, Judge, Mott and DeJong placed sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:32.58).
On the boards, senior
Emma McDonald was eighth in the one-meter (201.35) and ninth in the three-meter (202.10).
On the men's side, junior
Tate Anderson took second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:38.36) and fifth n the 100-yard freestyle (45.15).
In the 100-yard butterfly, junior
Aoun Al-Hiari placed fifth (49.42). Sophomore
Ian Rodgers touched the wall sixth in the 100-yard backstroke (49.62) and seventh in the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.43).
Sophomore
Alex Crown was seventh in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:40.76) and senior
Zane Roberts finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle (20.74).
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the combination of graduate student
Kyle Johnson,
Tate Anderson, Rodgers and Roberts took fifth place (3:05.50). In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Rodgers, Roberts, Al-Hiari and
Tate Anderson placed seventh (1:31.87).
On the boards, sophomore
Christian Anderson placed fourth in the one-meter (253.70) and ninth in the three-meter (206.70).
George Mason is back in action for the annual Patriot Invitational Nov. 21-23 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Fairfax, Va.
