FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams are on the road to compete against Navy, Louisiana State and Loyola-Maryland on Friday with the meet scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.

The Patriots travel to Navy for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

Last time out, the George Mason women's team finished third on day one won 10 events on day two to defeat Davidson at the Richmond Duals Oct. 11-12 at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.

The Patriots' men's team won 15 events in the two-day event and downed Davidson on the first day of competition at the Richmond Duals.

Ali Tyler won the 50-yard backstroke (26.95), 50-yard freestyle (23.99), 200-yard freestyle (1:54.50) and 200-yard IM (2:09.28).
In the 200-yard butterfly, graduate studentÂ
Abigail Murtaugh took first (2:09.21). FreshmanÂ
Greta Mott won the 500-yard freestyle (5:09.42) andÂ
Kristen Ivey won the 1650-yard freestyle. Â

Anka Whelan touched the wall first in both the 100-yard backstroke (58.98) and 200-yard backstroke (2:07.64) and classmateÂ
Emma DeJong claimed the 100-yard freestyle (53.17). In the 100-yard butterfly, juniorÂ
Peyton Brehmer notched a win (58.97). Â

Tate Anderson touched the wall first in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:38.98), 100-yard freestyle (45.99), 100-yard backstroke (50.17) and 200-yard backstroke (1:50.36) over the two days.
SophomoreÂ
Alex Crown won the 400-yard IM (4:08.19), 200-yard freestyle (1:41.75) and 200-yard IM (1:56.03) and placed second twice in the 500-yard freestyle (4:39.91, 4:41.03).

Ian Rodgers took the top spot in both the 50-yard backstroke (23.28) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.34).
George Mason hosts its first home meet of the season with the annual Patriot Invitational Nov. 21-23 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Fairfax, Va.
