FAIRFAX, Va. - Mason Madness is back!
 
On Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m., EagleBank Arena will host the official kick-off to George Mason men's and women's basketball season. Mason Madness is presented by The Main on University.
 
George Mason fans will be introduced to the student-athletes from each team and hear from men's basketball head coach Tony Skinn ('06) and women's basketball head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis. For the first time this season, both programs will compete on the floor together in a 3-point contest for ultimate bragging rights!
 
In addition, George Mason Athletics will welcome back the Green Machine for performances throughout the evening. The event also will feature performances from Mason Spirit and Urbanknowlogy 101. Plus, three students will compete in the first ever GM student dunk contest, judged by student-athletes from both programs and Doc Nix. The winner will receive a free big screen TV, courtesy of The Main on University.
 
Mason Madness is free for all attendees and no ticket is required. Fans in attendance will receive a complimentary Mason glow stick and Bang A Banner, while supplies last!
 
Please keep in mind, EagleBank Arena is adopting a clear bag policy for the 2023-24 Mason Basketball season. Any bag brought inside must be clear and no larger than 12" x 12" x 6" OR a small clutch no larger than 5" x 7".
