DONOR GUIDEBOOK
Fairfax, Va. -- George Mason Athletics is excited to announce the launch of its 2024 Donor Guidebook, introducing new enhancements aimed at recognizing and rewarding the loyal supporters who drive the success of our athletics programs. The guidebook outlines key updates to our donor benefits program, designed to improve the game-day experience and provide exclusive access to our top supporters.
This year, we are introducing a new
Priority Points System to bring more structure to the Patriot Club and Green Coat Society. This system will allow us to better engage with and recognize those who have supported George Mason Athletics. By earning points through donations, season ticket purchases, and active involvement with the program, donors will have priority access to premium seating and Athletic department events.
"We are thrilled to introduce the new enhancements to our donor program as part of the 2024 Donor Guidebook," said Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Marvin Lewis. "These updates reflect our commitment to elevating the experience for our supporters, ensuring they feel valued and connected to our teams. Our goal is to increase donor engagement, boost their involvement within the program, and ultimately invest more into upgrading the overall experience for everyone who stands behind George Mason Athletics."
The Patriot Club's
Benefit Levels have been expanded to include new perks such as special gifts, events, and tours for donors. The levels range from Bronze ($100) to the Green Coat Society ($25,000+), providing tiered rewards based on contributions.
The
Green Coat Society, a leading group of multi-year donors, offers a wide range of exclusive benefits, such as dinners with the Athletic Director and Head Coaches, private practice access, Green Room hospitality at basketball games, and even a Green Coat!
For men's basketball supporters, the
Coaches Circle offers behind-the-scenes access to the program, including VIP seating for the Atlantic 10 Tournament, exclusive gear, opportunities for away game tickets, and regular communications with Head Coach Coach Tony Skinn.
Women's basketball fans can join the
AND 1 Club, which connects members with the team through unique experiences like pregame talks, receptions with coaches and players, and recognition at home games.
Following a stellar first year to AD Marvin Lewis's tenure, George Mason Athletics marked several financial and donor participation milestones.
Through collective efforts, George Mason Athletics represented nearly 35% of the overall University's total funds raised on Mason Vision Day with $1.3 million University-wide. Athletics led all areas on-campus with $500,000 in gifts by an increase in donor participation with 900 unique donors. That's an increase of more than $80,000 from the dollar amount in 2023, as Mason Athletics had 565 donors and raised $416,690 on last year's Giving Day.
These updates reflect George Mason Athletics' ongoing commitment to engaging and rewarding our loyal supporters. The 2024 Donor Guidebook highlights how donors are the foundation of our success, providing crucial resources that help our student-athletes excel both on and off the field.
