Fairfax, Va.- The Patriot Games have concluded with many memorable performances from multiple student athletes. The preparations for the A-10 Indoor Championships are moving in a positive direction. The 2023 women's track and field team were also recognized and received their championship rings for winning the 2023 A-10 Outdoor Championships.
Freshman pole vaulter Walt Bannerman, stunned the crowd and elevated the excitement level at the Field House when he achieved a new personal best of 5.13m and finished in first. Not only was it a personal best, but it also pushed Walt Bannerman to second place in the GMU All-Time list for pole vault. Bobby Kestyn had an unforgettable day in the men's weight throw after pushing himself to the limit and attaining a new personal best with a mark of 18.49m, raising his place in the All-Time list to third.
Olamide Enajekpo had the home support cheering her on and she finished in second place in the women's weight throw with a mark of 16.28m. Noelle Foss placed third in the 60m dash with a time of 7.87 seconds. Paul McClain left his competition behind in the 600m dash finishing in first with a time of 1:18.78 and going up in the All-Time list to the third spot. Micah Harris was right behind finishing in second with a time of 1:19.26 and also going up in the list, placing in fourth.
The George Mason 4x400m relay team consisting of Paul McClain, Caleb Hymans, Nadim Abdu, and Micah Harris finished in second place (3:21.58) only behind Ursinus. Marisa Santamauro participated in the pentathlon and after finishing all five events, she placed in second with 3004 points. The freshman AbdurRazzaq Hassan participated in his first collegiate heptathlon, completing all six events in one day. It would become an amazing debut performance for Hassan finishing in first place with 4553 points and entering the historic All-Time list in sixth place.
Mason Love continued his dominant performances from cross country and finished in first place in the 5000m run with a time of 14:17.01 placing him in second place in the GMU 5000m All-Time list. Wesley Bond also kept his pace finishing in third in the 5000m run with a time of 14:32.35.

The Patriots will travel to Massachusetts to compete in two separate meets. Friday, February 2nd will be at Cambridge for the Harvard Crimson Elite Invitational. Another group will be competing on Saturday, February 3rd at Boston for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational.
