FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's lacrosse head coach
Kara Mupo and staff has announced the women's lacrosse fall schedule, including two multi-team play days at Mason.
The Patriots will kick off the fall season on Sept. 16 with the D.C. vs. Virginia Classic at the St. James in Springfield, Va. The four-game round robin style event features George Mason, Atlantic 10 rival George Washington, William & Mary and American. The next two weekends will feature three single game scrimmages, beginning with Keio University on Sept. 22 at 8 a.m. On Sept. 23 and the following Saturday (Sept. 30), the Patriots will play an intersquad at 10 a.m. on Field 1. All three scrimmages are open to the public.
October will begin with the DMV Fall Classic on Oct. 7 hosted by George Mason. The Patriots will welcome Mount St. Mary's, American, Longwood, George Washington and Mary Washington to Fairfax with games played on Field 1 and Field 3. Mason will play the Mount at 9 a.m. on Field 1 and Mary Washington at 1:30 p.m. on Field 1. All games are open to the public and the team will be giving away t-shirts to support pediatric cancer.
Mason will host another playday the following weekend on Oct. 14, with Longwood, Roanoke and Old Dominion traveling to Fairfax. The Patriots will play Longwood at 10 a.m. and Old Dominion at 12:40 p.m. and all four games throughout the day are open to the public.
The Patriots will wrap up their fall schedule on Oct. 21 at Towson with another playday. Joining Mason in Towson will be Big East members Georgetown and Denver, with a schedule to be released.
