SEPT. 19 UPDATE: Due to the field conditions at James Madison, the tripleheader scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, will be held at the George Mason Softball Complex.
FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team
released their fall schedule today. The four-game schedule will include two home games and one doubleheader in Harrisonburg, Va. Both home games will be played at the George Mason Softball Complex.
The Patriots will face Towson, James Madison, Maryland and Georgetown, all in September. Three of the four teams the Patriots will face this fall were 2023 regular season opponents, with Maryland being the exception.
Mason will begin fall ball on Saturday, Sept. 16, when Towson comes to Fairfax for a 10 inning game. The game is scheduled for noon.
On Saturday, Sept. 23, the Patriots will travel down to Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park in Harrisonburg, Va., for a doubleheader. Mason will first play James Madison at 11 a.m., followed by Maryland at 1:15 p.m. Both games will be seven innings long.
The Green & Gold will wrap up the fall season on Friday, Sept. 29, when Georgetown comes to Fairfax. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. and will also be 10 innings long.
Mason Softball,
winners of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament, will begin their 2024 regular season in early February.
