FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's lacrosse senior
Meghan Deehan has garnered postseason recognition from the Atlantic 10, the league office announced on Thursday.
Deehan earned an All-Academic nod, marking the first postseason honor of her career, for her contributions both on the field and in the classroom this season. The goalkeeper was one of just 12 student-athletes to earn the award and the first Patriot to do so since 2021.
In the classroom, the senior holds a 3.86 GPA and will graduate this month with a degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Development with plans to pursue her Master's in Management beginning next year. For her outstanding work in the classroom, she was honored as a Provost Scholar this year by George Mason.
The Milton, Ga. native also delivered on the field, highlighted by eclipsing the 400-career save mark with her 125 saves during the 2023 season. She also led the team in ground balls (27) and started all 15 games for the Patriots. Among Atlantic 10 goalkeepers, she finished the regular season ranked fourth with 8.33 saves per game with a season high of 14 against Longwood on Feb. 15.
