FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's lacrosse team will welcome the La Salle Explorers to George Mason Stadium on Saturday for its' Atlantic 10 home opener.

On Saturday, George Mason lacrosse is partnering with WINNERS Lacrosse, a nonprofit organization that was started in October 2000 to provide Washington, DC boys and girls, from underserved neighborhoods, the opportunity to learn the game of lacrosse and the life skills associated with playing a team sport. The team will have bins around George Mason stadium for a lacrosse equipment collection, which will all be donated to the organization. Thanks to their generous donors and sponsors, WINNERS Lacrosse is able to provide all equipment and programming completely free to participants! For more information on WINNERS Lacrosse, click here!

Both teams opened Atlantic 10 play last weekend with tough losses. The Explorers fell to George Washington at home, 12-9, while Mason fell to defending A-10 champs Saint Joseph's, 19-10.

The two programs will meet for the eighth time, with all contests coming as conference foes. Last season, the Explorers snapped a five-game win streak for the Patriots, downing Mason in Fairfax 11-10.
