FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team completed a three-game sweep against Saint Peter's with a 12-4 win on Sunday at Spuhler Field in Fairfax, Va.

Brett Stallings each had three hits, two RBI and scored three runs. Redshirt freshman
Konner Eaton tossed three hitless innings with three strikeouts.
Mason (7-8) took the lead in the bottom of the second against Saint Peter's (0-14) junior starter Zach Frasher.

James Quinn-Irons led off with a single and went to second on a failed pickoff attempt. Sophomore catcher
Connor Dykstra then walked before sophomore designated hitter
Reece Woody dropped down a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position.
Quinn-Irons raced home on a wild pitch to put the Patriots in front, 1-0. Junior right fielder
Derek Wood then lifted a sacrifice fly to left, with Dykstra coasting home to make it 2-0.
The Patriots have scored the first run in each of their last four games.
In the third, the Patriots sent eight batters to the plate and scored four runs on four hits.
Trimble led off with a single to right and stole second. With one out, Smith singled to left to increase the lead to 3-0. Quinn-Irons walked and Dykstra followed with a single to load the bases. Woody came through when he delivered a two-run double into the gap in left-center, with Smith and Quinn-Irons crossing the plate to extend the advantage to 5-0.
Wood then drove in a run with a sacrifice fly for the second straight inning, with Dykstra scoring his second run of the game for a 6-0 Mason lead.
The Peacocks got on the board in the top of the fourth against Mason junior reliever
Nick Martins. Senior left fielder Anthony Abbadine singled and junior designated hitter Nick Markantonatos walked to start the inning. Junior first baseman Sam Haney then reached on an error, with Abbadine scoring to cut the lead to 6-1. With two outs, freshman right fielder Johnathan Behm singled in a run to make it 6-2.
Mason added four runs over the next two innings.
In the fifth, Smith led off with a single against Peacocks junior reliever Christian Coombes, stole second and went to third on an error. Quinn-Irons sent a sacrifice fly to center with Smith cruising home to make it a 7-2 game.
With one out in the sixth, Mason freshman third baseman
A.J. Martin walked, stole second and moved to third on a single by sophomore shortstop
Carsen Pracht.
Pracht then stole second to put a pair of runners in scoring position and Trimble followed with a two-run single to increase the lead to 9-2. After a pitching change, Trimble stole second and with two outs, Smith drove in his second run of the game with a single to left to propel the Patriots to an eight-run lead, 10-2.
Saint Peter's scored a run in the seventh on a RBI-single by junior shortstop Joey Vitiello and one in the eighth on a double by Haney but would wouldn't get any closer.
In the bottom of the eighth, Stallings drove in a run with a ground out and Quinn-Irons knocked in another with a single for the 12-4 final.
For the Patriots, Eaton (1-0) pitched 3.0 hitless innings to earn the win. Martins allowed two unearned runs on two hits in 3.0 innings. Graduate students

Hugh O'Hara each allowed one run in 1.0 inning of work. Junior
Christian Mracna struck out the side in the ninth.
For the Peacocks, Frasher (0-4) allowed six runs on six hits in 3.0 innings and took the loss. Coombes surrendered four runs on three hits in 2.1 innings. Junior Micahel Diforte gave up two hits in 1.2 scoreless innings and junior Robert Black allowed two runs on two hits in the eighth.
Trimble went 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored, while Smith was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored. Quinn-Irons, Woody and Wood each drove in a pair of runs.
The Patriots continue their homestand against Maine on Tuesday afternoon with the first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. at Spuhler Field.
