FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason freshman Alex Crown was named Atlantic 10 Men's Rookie Performer of the Week, the league announced.
 
Crown, from Gainesville, Va., recorded three individual top-five performances at the Patriot Invitational held Nov. 16-18 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
 
Crown touched the wall third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:29.21), placed fourth in the 400-yard IM (3:57.20) and was fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle (15:56.47).  He also was a member of the winning 800-yard freestyle relay (6:37.09).
 
The Patriots are back in action against James Madison and Fairfield on Jan. 13 in Harrisonburg, Va.
