FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's lacrosse head coach
Kara Mupo has announced the 2024 schedule, with the team opening the season on Feb. 9.
The Patriots will host eight contests at home and a ninth at the St. James in Springfield, Va. against in-state rival William and Mary to open the season. In non-conference action, the Patriots will match up with teams from the CAA, Big South, Patriot, MAC and NEC.

"The team has put in an incredible amount of work on the field and in the weight room this off-season, laying a strong foundation for our competitive season. We have our eyes and hearts set on our goals, and this group has shown their unwavering commitment to each other and our staff to put our program in the best position to be successful. After the neutral site season opener on Feb. 9, Mason will make a quick turnaround to take on another Virginia native in Radford on Sunday, Feb. 11.
After a week break, Mason will play three of its' next four games on the road, first traveling to Kent State on Feb. 17. The Patriots will return to Fairfax on Feb. 22 to host Howard before a two-game road-trip to Gardner-Webb (Feb. 25) and American (Feb. 29).
Mason will host Delaware St. on March 4 before opening Atlantic 10 play against 2023 conference runner-up Massachusetts at home. The Patriots will then take a two-game Virginia road-trip to Longwood for their last non-conference contest (March 13) and to VCU (March 16).
The rest of the 2024 schedule will be all conference contests, beginning with 2023 Atlantic 10 Champion Richmond on March 20. The Spiders advanced to the NCAA tournament where they beat Marquette in the opening round before falling to 2022 National Champion North Carolina.
The Patriots get on the road to play Duquesne on March 23, followed up by a home contest with rival George Washington on March 30. Mason will open the month of April with a trip to Davidson on April 6 before returning to Fairfax to host St. Bonaventure on April 13 for its' Alumni Game.
Mason's final road game will be played at La Salle on April 20, and it will host Saint Joseph's on April 27 to wrap up the regular season for Senior Day and its' Pride Game.
The 2024
Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Tournament will be hosted by Duquesne in Pittsburgh from May 2-5. The top six teams from the 10-team field at the end of the regular season will advance to the post season tournament.
