FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team added seven new commits for their 2024-25 team. The Class of 2024 consists of future Patriots hailing from from Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia.
The new commits not only have impressive athletic achievements, but they also excel off the field. They have exceptional academic records and participate in multiple community service opportunities.

Justin Walker. They are highly skilled individuals both on and off the field. We expect the 2024 class to come in and make an immediate impact in the fall and are excited about the future of our softball program."

Abbey Lane | Pitcher/Utility

- Junior year: led team to a Virginia Class 5 State Championship, as well as a Regional, District and Regular Season Championship with a 27-1 record

- Tallied a .427 batting average. As a pitcher, I had a .654 ERA in 117.2 innings pitched with 186 strikeouts and .141 batting average against

- TRAVEL: Hit a .360 batting average with seven home runs, 51 RBI, 16 doubles and three triples. As a pitcher: had an ERA of 2.4 in 239.1 IP with 296 SOs for the last two seasons
