Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason men's golf team will compete at the USF Invitational played at the Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Fla. beginning Monday, October 9.
At the USF Invitational, the Patriots will compete in a 14-team field that will include Troy, Wofford, Jacksonville State, Delaware, FAU, Louisiana, ECU, Stetson, Davidson, Georgia State, Lamar, and host USF.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday, October 9, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. On Tuesday, the competitors will play 18 holes with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m.
Last Time Out
Aryan Vuradi has lead the Patriots in the first two tournaments of the fall season with two top-15 finishes. The sophomore finished t-11 in the field of 80 players at the Par 70, 6,871-yard River Run Country Club at the River Run Collegiate. Senior
Nikita Gubenko finished t-22 overall with a 5-over par 215 (70-71-74=215).
Vuradi finished tied for ninth overall at the Red Bandanna Invitational held at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y. in early September. The Brambleton, Va. native scored five birdies and five bogeys to finish level par.
